Nová kuchyňa v Jemnej ceste čaká na svojich malých šéfkuchárov

Centrum neformálneho vzdelávania Jemná cesta v Rohožníku má za sebou významnú zmenu. Vďaka finančnej podpore z grantového programu Náš Rohožník sa nám podarilo kompletne zrekonštruovať našu kuchyňu, ktorá teraz ponúka modernejší, funkčnejší a priateľskejší priestor pre deti navštevujúce naše centrum. Suma 2 000 €, ktorú sme získali, nám umožnila premeniť kuchyňu na miesto, kde sa nielen varí, ale aj učí a inšpiruje. Rekonštrukcia prebiehala v priebehu augusta a zapojili sme sa do nej s veľkým nasadením.

Prvým krokom bolo úplné vypratanie miestnosti. Kuchyňa, ktorá nám slúžila už dlhé roky, potrebovala nový nádych. Vymaľovali sme steny, aby sme priestoru dodali svetlosť a príjemnú atmosféru. S Peťkou sme potom vyrazili nakúpiť všetko potrebné, pričom sme sa rozhodovali nielen podľa ceny a kvality, ale aj s ohľadom na to, že kuchyňa bude slúžiť deťom – chceme, aby mali všetko potrebné na dosah ruky a zároveň boli v bezpečí.

Keď sme mali všetky komponenty pripravené, čakal nás ten najnáročnejší krok – všetko vybaliť, zložiť a nainštalovať. Strávili sme v kuchyni skoro celý týždeň, pričom sme pracovali celé poobedia, no výsledok stál za to. Nové skrinky sú prispôsobené výške detí, aby mohli pohodlne siahať na všetko potrebné, bez toho, aby museli používať stoličky alebo sa naťahovať. Takisto sme zmodernizovali pracovnú plochu. V prípade potreby sa dá pracovná doska presunúť do stredu miestnosti, čo znamená, že sa nás do kuchyne zmestí viac.

Kuchyňa však nebola len o nových skriniach. Zmodernizovali sme aj spotrebiče. Konečne máme funkčnú chladničku a sporák, na ktorom sa dá zapáliť viac ako jeden horák. Tieto vylepšenia nám otvárajú dvere k novým možnostiam. Plánujeme pokračovať v organizovaní workshopov zameraných na zdravú stravu a spoločné stolovanie pre deti. Ale plánujeme zorganizovať aj zopár workshopov varenia a prípravy domácich výrobkov pre dospelých. Veríme, že tieto aktivity prilákajú čo najviac detí a ukážu im, že varenie a zdravé stravovanie môže byť nielen poučné, ale aj zábavné a chutné.

Celý proces rekonštrukcie bol pre nás výzvou, no zároveň aj príležitosťou na ďalší rozvoj nášho centra. Jemná cesta nie je len miestom, kde deti trávia voľný čas, ale aj priestorom, kde sa učia nové veci, rozvíjajú svoje schopnosti a spoznávajú zdravý životný štýl. Nová kuchyňa sa stane dôležitou súčasťou tohto procesu. Zároveň dúfame, že sa stane aj priestorom, kde budú deti tráviť čas spolu, učiť sa spolupráci a pochopia dôležitosť kvalitného a výživného jedla.

Vďaka grantu Náš Rohožník a podpore od obce Rohožník sa nám podarilo splniť ďalší cieľ a posunúť centrum zase o krok ďalej. Našou víziou je neustále zlepšovanie podmienok pre deti, ktoré nás navštevujú, a poskytnutie čo najlepších možností na ich rozvoj. Veríme, že sa tam deťom bude páčiť, že sa budú cítiť ako doma a že každé dieťa si odnesie nielen nové zručnosti, ale aj spomienky na krásne chvíle strávené v kruhu svojich kamarátov.

ENGLISH: A New Kitchen at Jemná Cesta Awaits Its Little Chefs

The Jemná Cesta Center for Non-Formal Education in Rohožník has undergone a major transformation. Thanks to financial support from the Náš Rohožník grant program, we were able to completely renovate our kitchen, turning it into a modern, functional, and child-friendly space. The €2,000 we received allowed us to create a place where cooking is not only about food preparation but also about learning and inspiration. The renovation took place in August, and we dedicated ourselves to it with great enthusiasm.

The first step was to completely clear out the old room. The kitchen, which had served us for many years, needed a fresh start. We repainted the walls to make the space brighter and more welcoming. Together with Peťka, we set out to purchase everything we needed, carefully choosing items not only for their price and quality but also with children in mind—we wanted everything to be within their reach while keeping safety a priority.

Once all the components were ready, the most challenging step awaited us—unpacking, assembling, and installing everything. We spent nearly a week in the kitchen, working every afternoon, but the result was worth it. The new cabinets are adapted to children’s height, so they can comfortably reach everything they need without climbing on chairs or stretching too far. We also modernized the work surface. If needed, the countertop can be moved to the center of the room, making it easier for more people to work together in the kitchen.

But the renovation wasn’t just about new cabinets. We also updated the appliances. At last, we have a reliable refrigerator and a stove where more than one burner can be used at once. These improvements open the door to new opportunities. We plan to continue hosting workshops on healthy eating and communal dining for children, as well as organize cooking and homemade food preparation workshops for adults. We believe these activities will attract many children and show them that cooking and healthy eating can be not only educational but also fun and delicious.

The entire renovation process was both a challenge and an opportunity for growth. Jemná Cesta is not only a place where children spend their free time but also a space where they learn new skills, develop their abilities, and discover a healthy lifestyle. The new kitchen will play a key role in this process. We also hope it will become a space where children spend time together, learn cooperation, and understand the importance of quality, nutritious food.

Thanks to the Náš Rohožník grant and the support of the municipality of Rohožník, we’ve achieved another goal and moved our center one step further. Our vision is to keep improving conditions for the children who visit us and to provide them with the best possible opportunities for growth. We believe they will love the new kitchen, feel at home in it, and take away not only new skills but also cherished memories of wonderful moments spent with friends.
